‘A Returner’s Magic Should Be Special’ Anime Adaptation New Character Trailer Unveiled

A new character trailer has dropped for the A Returner’s Magic Should Be Special anime, based on the Korean webcomic by Wookjakga adapting the web novel by Usonan. The promo focuses on the main character, Desir Herman, voiced by Takuma Terashima in the anime (known for voicing Akkun in Tokyo Revengers).

The A Returner’s Magic Should Be Special anime, originally slated for this year, will now debut in October 2023, with streaming services on Crunchyroll. Taishi Kawaguchi directs the series, Takamitsu Kouno handles scriptwriting and supervision, and Hiromi Kato designs the characters for Arvo Animation.

Yen Press publishes the English version of the manhwa adaptation, featuring art by Wookjakga. The story revolves around the earth ravaged by Shadow Realms, with humanity’s survival relying on six mages, including Desir Herrman. Despite their heroic efforts, the bloodshed continues until Desir unexpectedly finds himself back thirteen years in the past, offering a chance to reunite with loved ones and save the world.
