First Impressions
So Demon Slayer started again this season after much anticipation and it looks amazing as always. The 1 hour premiere kicks off with an intensive moment setting the premise of this arc, then we are brought back to the Demon Slayer headquarter where all the Hashiras gather for a meeting. Oh and, Tanjiro and Nezuko is there too after the exhaustive event at the Swordsmith Village. It kind of have become a format now that every season is starting at the base with a laid-back vibe and show little bits of the last arc to get everyone up to speed. So the first episode has yet to impress me again just like the prior arcs did.
The Animation
The animation of Demon Slayer is solid as ever; no complaints there. Studio Ufotable taking just good care of it. The short intense moment in the beginning showcased that efficiently. The artworks in the eyecatch and ending looks breathtaking. Even in the subtle moment like during the Hashira meeting felt impactful and dramatic. This season has much to offer and I look forward to what the animators bring to the table.
The Sound & Music
Well, nothing new here exactly. The sound design and music of Demon Slayer has always been epic. It’s only the first episode so nothing was to be expected. Still waiting on that one moment where the music is specially crafted for hits.
The Opening
The opening theme song “Mugen” is performed by My First Story and Hyde. It’s not as hype and exhilarating as the other OPs and gives a chilled vibe. The animation also feels a bit laid-back. And as usual, it spoils everything that’s about to occur in this arc. This might be my least favorite Demon Slayer Opening yet.

Conclusion
As a fan of the series, I am down for it. Demon Slayer has a pure shounen energy with amazing fights that I just can’t help but fall for it. It brings back the same me again who enjoyed something without worrying or overthinking stuff. I don’t exactly see where this arc is going or what the climax might be. The show hits an R&R after a long time and I kind of missed this type of moments. Last time was near the end of the first season and here we are again in a training arc.
