All the Games Announced at Xbox Games Showcase 2024
This years Xbox event announced a lot of things. Some of them are exciting and some are not so much (such as closing the Xbox 360 Marketplace). But this year Xbox isn’t backing down on the games side of things and teased a lot of exciting trailers. Let’s unpack them all.

Call of Duty Black Ops 6 – Gameplay Reveal Trailer
A new Call of Duty game co-developed by Treyarch and Raven Software coming out on October 25, 2024, on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation consoles. Now, CoD games are generally decent in terms of production quality and the Black Ops stories are pretty intriguing. So I’m looking forward to this wheres normally I get disgusted by the current Modern Warfare series.
DOOM: The Dark Ages – First Trailer
A new Doom game is revealed by Bethesda and coming out in 2025 on Xbox, PC, and PS5. This time the Doomguy going back in time to annihilate the demons in the mediaval era. The gameplay looks sick and it has more features and mechanics including piloting a giant mecha and transform into an Aerodactyl to roam around and engage in some badass combat. DOOM: The Dark Ages is definitely the hypest announcement in this event.
State of Decay 3 – New Trailer
State of Decay is an action-adventure zombie survival game and its third installment is showcased in a new trailer. Open world zombie shooting gameplay is the main aspect of this game. The release date is yet to be announced.
Dragon Age: The Veilgaurd – New Trailer
A new aspect is introduced in this trailer of the new Dragon Age game, something that’ll affect the RPG story and the overall playthrough. More info in the trailer.
Starfield: Shattered Space – Game Expension Reveal
Starfield announces its first major expansion that’s set to comeout later this year. It introduces new areas, game modes, gears, bountings, etc. and custon content. Moving on.
Fallout 76 – Skyline Valley Expension
This 6 years olf game makes a comeback with an expansion that’ll let the players explore in areas with new missions.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 – Reveal Trailer
A turn-based game with amazing visuals gets revealed that’s set to someout next year.
South of Midnight – Gameplay Reveal Trailer
An interesting action-adventure game with hack n slash combat system is revealed in the form of South of Midnight.
World of Warcraft: The War Within – Expension Reveal Trailer
The War Within is the 10th expantion for World of Warcraft that’ll commence a new story. It’ll be released on August 26, 2024.
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eeter – New Gameplay Trailer
The BEST story in Metal Gear Solid franchise is being reiterated in the modern new graphics and smoother gameplay. Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eeter is memorable for its story, characters, and world building. It’s nice to see that this beloved game is getting the remake it deserves. The release daet is yet to be announced.
Seas of Thieves Season 13 – Reveal and Announcement
Seas of Thieves expanding more horizons to pillage and plunder with new events and boss fights. Season 13 will be unleasehed on July 25, 2024 for free.
Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn – Trailer + Announcement
A new upcoming action game announced that’s coming soon on July 18, 2024.
Age of Mythology: Retold – Gameplay Trailer
New gameplay was showcased of this real-time strategy game. It’s set to release on September 4, 2024.
Perfect Dark – Gameplay Reveal Trailer
The gameplay reveal trailer was showcased of this first-person shooter game that looked pretty impressive.
Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred – Expansion Reveal + Announcement
A CGI trailer was presented for the next expansion of Diablo 4. In this expansion the player will be able to play as a new class and explore new levels. It’s set for October 8, 2024.
Fable – Gameplay Trailer
The classsic RPG of Fable is set to comeout in 2025. It showed an impressive looking cinematic trailer with tidbits of gameplay. Hopefully it delivers its promises.
FragPunk – Gameplay Trailer
A new hero shooter game is introduced that looked amazing at the first look. It has cool asthetics, style, fresh new mechanics. It’s set to comeout this year.
Winter Burrow – Announcement Trailer
Winter Burrow is a cute, cozy survival game where you play as rat and explore many terrain in a winter world setup. The game has more layers than it meets the eye and I’m looking forward to it.
Mixtape – Gameplay Reveal Trailer
This showed an interresting gameplay with cool, expressive animation, likable characters and an intriguing story.
Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 – Trailer + Announcement
New Microsoft Flight Simulator game coming out this year. Moving on.
The Elder Scrolls Online: Gold Road – Trailer
The MMO RPG of The Elder Scrolls Online is coming out on June 18, 2024 on PC, Mac and Xbox consoles.
Life is Strange: Double Exposure – Trailer
The never ending story continues in the new chapter of Double Exposure. It’s set for October 29, 2024 on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S consoles and on Nintendo Switch at a later date.
Mecha BREAK – Gameplay Trailer
An insane multiplayer game where you can play in a 60-player PvEvP, 6v6 Battlefield, and 3v3 Arena game modes. It’s coming out in 2025 but the beta will be available in August 2024.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle – Trailer
Well, the title says it all, it’s an Indiana Jones game. The game looks more cinematic but hoping that the gameplay is equally decent. It’s coming out later this year.
WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers – Announcement
Only a cinematic trailer is shown here but looked to be a souls-like game in the late Ming Dynasty setting.
Avowed – Story Trailer
A new RPG game is announced that’s set for later this year.
Atomfall – Reveal Trailer
A Fallout like game is revealed by the Sniper Elite devs. Atomfall is an open-world survival-action game set in a world devastated from a nuclear fallout. It’ll comeout next year.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows – Gameplay Trailer
A new Assassin’s Creed game is showcased that features two protagonists with different playstyle. One is a smaurai and the other is a shinobi and it’s set in historcal Japan. It showed an interesting concept but expecting anything from Ubisoft will end in regret now-a-days. It’s getting released on November 15, 2024 on PC, Xbox, and PS5.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chronobyl – Gameplay Trailer
Another installment of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is revealed along with gameplay showcase. It’s been 15 years since the last game and it was amazing. The trailer looks promising and I can’t wait for it to comeout. The gaeme releases on September 5, 2024, on PC, Xbox Series X|S.
Gears of War: E-Day – Announcement Trailer
Gears of War is back and it’s tackling the prequel story. It looks amazing as ever. Nothing on the gameplay side, only the cinematic teaser is shown. It’s currentl being developed for PC and Xbox Series X|S consoles,
Conclusion
