Cat Alien Manga Gets Anime Adaptation: Me and the Alien MuuMuu
Coming in 2025, an anime about a cat named MuuMuu who is an alien and his technological adventures with Sakurako, an univercity student.
The Manga is written and illustrated by Hiroki Miyashita which is serialized in Shonen Gahosha’s Young King OURs magazine since 2019. So far, the main cast has been revealed, Momo Harumi as Sakurako and Etsuko Kozakura as MuuMuu. Otjer information about the anime is yet to be announced.
The New “Lupin the Third” Movie is Returning in Traditional 2D in 2025
After 30 years since 1996, a new movie is in horizon titled LUPIN THE IIIRD THE MOVIE in the traditional handdrawn animation.
A teaser trailer has been released along with the reveal of animation staff and cast.

“Kaiju No. 8” Unveils a Bonus Special Episode
A new special episode is set to come out on March 28, 2025; focusing on the character Soshiro Hoshin, titled “Hoshina’s Day Off”.
The animation staff is revealed as well as the synopsis of the special episode. Season 2 of the anime and a video game are currently being developed.

A Silent Voice‘s Director’s New Movie: The Colors Within is Getting Blu-ray and DVD Releases in February 2025
The movie was released on August 2024, animated by studio Science Saru. GKIDS is set to release the film on January 24, 2025 in North American theaters with an English dub. In February, it’ll release in disc format that’ll include extra contents and a booklet.
Besides directing “A Silent Voice”, Naoko Yamada is known for Tamako Market, K-On, Liz and the Blue Bird, and several other anime for directing and animating.
“Cat’s Eye” Anime Gets a Remake After 40 Years
One of the classic manga “Cat’s Eye” by mangaka Tsukasa Hojo, coming back in anime form next year. The original anime ended 1985 with 73 episodes, adpted by the then studio Tokyo Movie Shinsha.
The anime will stream exclusively on Disney+, the trailer and the key visual has been revealed. Ado is confirmed to perform the main theme song which is her cover of Anri’s “CAT’S EYE” from the original 1983 anime which is arrenged by Yuki Hayashi. It was teased in the trailer.
A New Historical Anime: Shabake is Announced for Spring 2025
Shabake, originally a historical fantasy novel by Megumi Hatanaka (writter) and Yu Shibata (illustrator) has been published by Shinchosha since December 2001 and a total of 23 volumes has been released as of July 2024. A manga adaptation was made by Mimori which was serialized in Shinchosha’s Monthly Comic Bunch magazine from January 2017 to March 2023. Studio Bandai Namco Pictures will be animating it, a studio that’s known for Gintama, Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun, Wistoria: Wand and Sword, and many more.

Synopsis
Ichitaro is the young successor of Nagasakiyama, one of Nihonbashi’s most prominent shops in Edo, who is protected by spirits due to his health. After witnessing a murder one night, Ichitaro determins to uncover the mystery behind the murders that starts after that night with the help of the spirits.
Solo Leveling Unfolds Some Thrilling Revelations
The 2nd season of the anime is coming in January, 2025. The new trailer reveals the Opening theme song “ReawakeR” by LiSA featuring Felix of Stray Kids, produced by Hiroyuki Sawano. The animation staff and the voice cast has also been announced.

A compilation of the 1st season is releasing as a movie titled Solo Leveling: ReAwakening releasing on December 6 this year. It’ll also include first 2 episodes of season 2 and it’s collaborating with Venom: The Last Dance as they share similar key visuals.
A New Horror Anime “The Summer Hikaru Died” Reveals Release Date, Trailer, Staff, and Key Visual
Manga by Mokumokuren titled Hikaru ga Shinda Natsu (The Summer Hikaru Died) is announced to get an anime adaptation in _. The manga started serialization on Kadokawa Shoten’s Young Ace Up website in August 2021 and 5 volumes are released as of June, 2024. Studio CygamesPictures will be handling the animation, which is known for Princess Connect! Re:Dive, The Idolmaster Cinderella Girls U149, and Blade Runner Black Out 2022.
The manga is pretty well known as it’s nominated for several awards and the author was nominated for the best writer at the Eisner Awards. Horror anime has struggled to be authentic so far. We hope that this can break the mold and give us a true horror experience.
Another Classic Manga “The Law of Ueki” Returning After 16 Years
An announcement was made in Weekly Shonen Sunday website that the manga by Tsubasa Fukuchi will return as a oneshot. It’s set to release on December 4. The story of the oneshot will take place after the conclusion of the original story.
Originally the manga was serialized in Shogakukan‘s shōnen manga magazine Weekly Shōnen Sunday from July 2001 to October 2004 and its sequel, The Law of Ueki Plus, was serialized from April 2005 to June 2007. 16 and 5 volumes were released respectively. An anime adaptation of 51 episodes was released by Studio Deen that aired from April 4, 2005 to March 27, 2006.
Another Classic Anime “YAIBA” Getting a Remake
From the mangaka of all time classic Detective Conan, Gosho Aoyama, comes Yaiba, a tale of an adventuring samurau boy. The original anime ran frmo April 9, 1993 to April 1, 1994, which was animated by studio Pastel. Recently, WIT Studio have announced that they’ll be remaking the anime of this classic release.
A trailer, the key visual, the animation staff, voice cast, and the release date has been revealed, which is April of 2025.

The manga was serialized in Shogakukan’s shōnen manga magazine Weekly Shōnen Sunday from September 1988 to December 1993, with its chapters collected in 24 volumes.
Uglymug, Epicfighter Getting Anime Adaptation
The web novel of the same title by Ryō Hiromatsu is announced to get an anime adaptation with Egg Firm as producer and White Fox as the animation studio. Also Junichi Suwabe will voice the protagonist, Shigeru Yoshioka. A teaser visual has been revealed along with the announcement.
The web novel was serialized online from February 2015 to October 2022 on the user-generated novel publishing website Shōsetsuka ni Narō. A manga adaptation was serialized in Square Enix’s seinen manga magazine Monthly Big Gangan from November 2017 to December 2020 where Osamu Kozuki did the art and was collected in six tankōbon volumes. A light novel version with illustrations by Akira Banpai was published under Kobunsha‘s Kobunsha Light Books imprint in May 2018. A sequel to the manga titled Busamen Gachi Fighter SSS is set to release on December 25, 2024.
“Welcome to Demon School, Iruma-kun” is Coming Back in Another Season
A teaser has been revealed with the announcement of the anime getting its fourth season.
Bandai Namco Pictures is working on it once again. Originally, its manga was authored by Osamu Nishi and it has been serialized in Akita Shoten‘s shōnen manga magazine Weekly Shōnen Champion since March 2017, with its chapters collected in 39 tankōbon volumes as of September 2024.
A New Anime from One Piece‘s animators
French One Piece animators Dorian Coulon and Julien Cortey started their own animation studio, Toro Animation Studio. Recently they shared their first project on twitter in the form of a trailer.
The project was an animated promo trailer for the upcoming French manga Instinct written by the popular One Piece fan and YouTuber, Inoxtag.
More Comphy Camping Inbound: Season 4 of Laid-Back Camp is Announced
A teaser was revealed with the announcement of the fourth season of Laid-Back Camp. This season will focus more on the new characters that were introduced in season 3. Teaser visuals have also been revealed. Studio 8-bit, that animated season 3, will be animating this season as well.
Yuru Camp or Laid-Back Camp manga, authored by Afro, began serialization in Houbunsha‘s Manga Time Kirara Forward magazine from July 2015. In February 2019, it was transferred to the publisher website and app for manga called Comic Fuz. 16 volumes have been released so far.
Release Date of Go, Go, Loser Ranger Season 2 is Announced along with Teaser Visual and Trailer
At the finale of season 1, the sequel of the anime was announced. Now the release date has been confirmed, which is April 2025. The same studio, Yostar Pictures, is working on it.
The original manga, Sentai Daishikkaku (Go! Go! Loser Ranger! or Ranger Reject) is authored by Negi Haruba, whose previous work is The Quintessential Quintuplets. Go! Go! Loser Ranger! has been serialized in Kodansha‘s Weekly Shōnen Magazine since February 2021 and 16 volumes have been compiled so far.
Anime Adaptation Announced for a Drama Manga: Yano-kun no Futsu no Hibi
A rom-com manga written and illustrated by Yui Tamura was announced on July 4, 2024 to be adapted into anime as well as live action.
The manga began serialization on Kodansha’s Comic Days website on June 27, 2021 and 9 volumes have been released so far. It will be produced by Happinet. More information about the production are yet to be disclosed.
John Wick Anime Film currently on Development
John Wick director Chad Stahelski revealed that, an anime film is currently on development, along with a spin-off TV series titled Under the High Table focusing on the character Caine. The anime film will serve as a prequel to the main films and will feature more cartoon violence. Both Chad Stahelski and Keanu Reeves will be overseeing the projects. No further information has been shared yet.
SAKAMOTO DAYS Unveils Release Date, Key Visuals, and a New Trailer
More exciting revelations for another most anticipating anime, SAKAMOTO DAYS. The release date is January 11, 2025. Studio TMS Entertainment is animating the anime which will run on two cours.
The manga of the same title is authored by Yuto Suzuki, which began serialization in Shueisha‘s shōnen manga magazine Weekly Shōnen Jump since November 2020 and 19 volumes have been published so far.
Ginpachi-Sensei Anime Confirms Release Date
The Gintama spin-off anime, Class 3-Z’s Ginpachi-sensei, revealed a ‘super teaser’ trailer and a new visual, as well as an October 2025 release date. Studio Bandai Namco Pictures is animating it as it did for the previous entries.
Gintama ended with its The Very Final movie in 2021 and the manga in 2019 which is authored by Hideaki Sorachi.
A Romance Manga “Kowloon Generic Romance” is Getting Anime Adaptation
From the author of After the Rain, come the manga Kowloon Generic Romance which is getting its anime adaptation in 2025. It’s also getting a live-action adaptation which is included in the trailer.
The Kowloon Generic Romance manga has been serialized in Shueisha‘s Weekly Young Jump since November 2019 and 10 volumes have been published so far.
Studio ECLYPISE Taking Action for Anime Adaptation
An unifficial studio that has been making fan animations of Berserk are hit with multiple issues from the officials. So far, they’ve been making short trailers for certain arcs of Berserk, sharing on their YouTube Channel, Studio ECLYPSE.
They had to take down their work, shut down patreon and suspend the project until they get the necessary permissions to post their work. We hope they get out of the trial.
